Bangladesh sends another shipment of medical aid to India
New Delhi, May 18 (Prensa Latina) A second shipment of medical aid from Bangladesh to India arrived in Calcutta on Tuesday, as part of bilateral cooperation to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
The cargo, delivered to the Indian Red Cross Society, contains 2,672 boxes of medicines and protective items, All India Radio reported.
The shipment includes 18 types of medicines to treat Covid-19, such as antibiotics, paracetamol, various kinds of injections and hand sanitizers, according to a statement from Bangladesh s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On May 6, Bangladesh sent 10,000 vials of the antiviral Remdesivir amid the unprecedented peak of Covid-19 cases in India.

Dhaka, Apr 9 (efe-epa).- The United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, on Friday reaffirmed his country’s commitment in dealing with climate change and promised to work together with all stakeholders concerning the issue.
“No one country can solve the problem of climate crisis and today no country doubts that there is a crisis,” Kerry said at a press conference in Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, where he is on a one-day visit.
Kerry arrived in Dhaka after wrapping up a four-day India visit, to deliver US President Joe Biden’s invitation to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to attend the Leaders Summit on Climate on Apr. 22-23.
