Abandoned fields to be recovered soon: DSCC mayor

Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today said all the abandoned or illegally
occupied fields under different wards of the capital will be recovered soon
and will be allotted for the playground.
He made the comment while visiting of BFF artificial turf adjoining the
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Bhaban.
BFF secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag and other distinguished personalities were
also present during the time, said a BFF press release here.
Taposh said some fields in different wards have already been recovered and
the activities of the rest are also going on.

Bangladesh Football Federation President Kazi Salahuddin on Wednesday said that the Ethics Committee would take the next decision about their Vice-President Mohiuddin Mohi.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) earlier filed a case against BFF fourth VP and Bangladesh Samabaya Bank Limited Chairman Mohi on charges of embezzlement of bank customer s mortgage gold.
Asian Football Confederation noticed the matter and sent an official letter on Tuesday to BFF asking the details about the case.
“We got a letter from AFC. The BFF Ethics committee will take the next decision about Mohi. We will inform AFC whatever the committee will decide,” Salahuddin told the reporters.

Bangladesh Football Federation Fixed Match Detection Committee became a familiar name in the country’s sports fraternity in the last few days.
They came in the limelight when they recently asked for explanations from Arambagh Krira Sangha and Brothers Union after finding some suspicious activities - match-fixing and online betting - from both sides during their five matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
However, the two-year tenure of Bangladesh Football Federation’s previous Fixed Match Detection Committee ended last year and the federation is yet to disclose the new committee.
Arambagh, Brothers under scanner for match-fixing

Arambagh Krira Sangha and Brothers Union were asked for explanations by the Fixed Match Detection Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation as they found some uncharacteristic behaviours from both sides during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
The BFF subcommittee sent official letters to these clubs asking explanations for five matches of the ongoing BPL on Friday.
These matches are - Brothers VS Dhaka Abahani Ltd on January 19, Bashundhara Kings VS Brothers on January 23, Arambagh VS Mohammedan SC Ltd on January 17, Sheikh Russel KC VS Arambagh on February 9 and Dhaka Abahani VS Arambagh on February 13.
