World Red Cross / Red Crescent Day tomorrow 357 DHAKA, May 7, 2021 (BSS) – World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day will be celebrated tomorrow in the country as elsewhere in the world. This day is an annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The World Red Cross Red Crescent Day is celebrated on May 8 each year. The date is the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant (born on 8th May 1828), the founder of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the recipient of the first Nobel Peace Prize. To commemorate this great man with reverence, his birthday is celebrated all over the world every year as World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
