3 engineering varsities to hold cluster admission test soon

Except Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) will hold cluster system admission test.
The admission test of engineering universities will be held after the tests of medical colleges and BUET, sources said.
RUET Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Islam said, “We have come to know that BUET will not take part in cluster system admission test. We have not yet received any formal letter from them. Under this circumstance, we three other engineering universities will take test in a coordinated way.”
Remaining testimony in Abrar’s murder case on Jan 31

A Dhaka court today fixed January 31 for taking the remaining testimony of DB Inspector Wahiduzzaman, also investigating officer in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad.
Judge Abu Jafar Mohammad Kamruzzaman of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 set the date today (Monday) for the rest of the testimony and cross-examination of the investigating officer, reports BSS.
Today was fixed for the cross examination and testimony of the officer, but the court set a new date as the Stenographer was sick.

The investigation officer in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) student Abrar Fahad has started giving his deposition before a Dhaka tribunal.
Md Wahiduzzaman, an inspector of detective branch of police and also the investigation officer of the case, gave his statement before the tribunal today.
Judge Abu Zafar Md Kamruzzaman of Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 of Dhaka recorded the statement of Wahiduzzaman, the last prosecution witness in the case, for over three hours.
Since the investigation officer could not complete his deposition, the judge fixed tomorrow for next hearing of the case. During today s hearing, the twenty-two accused who are now in jail, were produced before the tribunal.
