Jabbar for using modern technology in building Digital Bangladesh

DHAKA, Feb 28, 2021 (BSS) – Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar today said the main challenge is to adopt modern technology and utilize the human resources in building ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
Highlighting the goals and objectives of ‘Digital Bangladesh’ vision, he said: “Our challenge is to adopt technology and utilize our human resources. If we cannot do so, we will have to face trouble in the future.”
The minister was speaking as the chief guest at the International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development, organized by Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in the capital.
The House of Representatives has confirmed the appointment of the newly appointed Service Chiefs.
The report of the Committee on Defence was presented by the Chairman, Babajimi Benson, during plenary on Tuesday and considered by the committee of the whole, before it was adopted by the House.
According to the committee chairman, the nominees were thoroughly screened.
The service chiefs are also being screened by the Senate Committee on Defense.
The process had commenced last Wednesday when the new appointees were called upon to share their portfolios as well as their vision if they are confirmed to take on the new roles.

The vice-chancellors fixed the schedule in a virtual meeting of the University Council on Wednesday, said Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, president of the council and VC of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology or CUET.
Dhaka University will hold the admission tests on May 22, 27 and 28, and on Jun 5 while Jahangirnagar University admission tests will be held from Jun 6 to 20.
Among the engineering universities, BUET will hold the exams on Jun 10 while RUET, CUET and KUET will hold the tests on Jun 12 under a clustered system.
