Adviser Salman Rahman and Senator Menendez discuss Bangladesh-US relations

Salman Fazlur Rahman, Adviser for Private Industry and Investment to the Prime Minister held a meeting with Senator Bob Menendez, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on Thursday ( July 29) at the latter’s Senate Hurt Office Building, Washington DC.
The discussion covered various aspects of Bangladesh-US relations, said a press release of Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC.
The Advisor briefed the Senator on the impressive socio-economic development that has taken place in Bangladesh during the last 12 years under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He sought the Senator’s support to further strengthen Bangladesh-US relations.

Tripura CM sends pineapples for Bangladesh PM ANI | Updated: Jul 12, 2021 07:12 IST
Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 12 (ANI): As a token of respect and courtesy, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has sent 400 pineapples to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Speaking to reporters, Udot Jha, Second Secretary to India High Commission at Chittagong, The goodwill gesture by Tripura Chief Minister towards Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will further cement the friendship and long-standing ties between the two nations. I would like to thank the Tripura government and the Chief Minister for their goodwill gesture, he added.
Meanwhile, T K Chakma, Director of Industries and Tourism department of Tripura government expressed that Tripura and Bangladesh have a strong relationship and there is huge scope for further enhancement of import-export trade and medical tourism sector.
