Under the theme, 3Ps Beyond Security: Peace, Prosperity and Partnership, the Global Engagement and Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) will take place on Thursday and Friday, according to the university.

Bangladesh also requested Malaysia to take back the stranded Bangladeshi workers who could not return to Malaysia due to Covid-19 lockdown. Bangladesh appreciated the government of Malaysia for allowing the workers to change employers and also for introducing the recalibration program under which illegal workers would have an opportunity to legalise. UN chief lauds Bangladesh for hosting Rohingyas Diplomatic Correspondent 31st January, 2021 10:05:27 United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the UN will continue to stand with Bangladesh and mobilise international support to collectively address the Rohingya crisis through sustainable return of the forcible displaced Myanmar nationals. Guterres recently wrote a letter to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen where he expressed deep gratitude to Bangladesh for hosting the Rohingya population,  who fled atrocities and persecution in Myanmar. The Secretary-General assured that the UN has renewed its advocacy and support in the Rakhine State and would continue to engage with Myanmar towards creating a conducive environment for the sustainable return of the Rohingyas, said the Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
