Chase: Police PIT maneuvers help end pursuit in the San Fernando Valley

LOS ANGELES (KABC) Multiple police vehicles broadsided a suspect s car to stop him from fleeing after a chase that ended in the San Fernando Valley Friday evening.
The suspect kept on driving after three PIT maneuvers by police, but he stopped the car a short time later and surrendered.
AIR7 HD was over the scene around 7:20 p.m. as Pasadena police were in pursuit. Police initially said the suspect was possibly wanted for grand theft auto, but later clarified that the suspect failed to stop for a traffic violation.

BOZEMAN â The search for Bozeman s new Chief of Police is down to three candidates as of Wednesday, Feb. 24: Jim Baumstark, Eric Paulson, and Jim Veltkamp.
Baumstark has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, including 16 years at the executive level, and joined the Asheville Police Department (APD) in North Carolina as the Deputy Chief in 2015.
Paulson has more than 23 years of law enforcement experience and currently serves as Deputy Chief of Police at the Santa Ana Police Department.
Veltkamp began his career in public service in 1999 when he first joined the Bozeman Police Department, where he currently serves as the Interim Chief and Deputy Chief.
PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) Residents in Pasadena who may be struggling to get through to police, the department is reporting their 911 system is currently experiencing issues.
Tuesday morning, Pasadena police shared on social media their system was having issues and they had routed the calls to a backup system. By 8:40 a.m. it appeared the problem had been solved but in a 9:33 a.m. update, the police said their system was having issues again.

The incident, which barely made headlines in mainstream media at the time, occurred around 7:45 a.m. at Colorado Boulevard and Arroyo Parkway on Dec. 29, 2020.
Oscar Villamil, 43, allegedly approached and attacked the couple, who were in their 80s, as they crossed the street.
For no apparent reason, Villamil
“punched and kicked the male victim and pushed the female victim, causing her to fall and hit her head on the concrete sidewalk,” Pasadena police said.

Both victims sustained head injuries in the attack. The wife, Pui Gee Ng Lee, who was left slipping in and out of consciousness, died at a hospital the morning of Jan. 4 at age 80, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
