FOX 11 spoke with Bellin Health’s Dr. Brad Burmeister on Good Day Wisconsin Sunday regarding vaccine rollout in the state. Dr. Burmeister says Wisconsin is expected to receive 47,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week. “I know that Wisconsin as a state has done really great from the state distributing them out all the way down to the health systems who are doing the vaccines in communities. Wisconsin either ranks number one or in the top few states in the country of proportions in vaccines we have received as a state to administer.”

Preble High School teacher Jerrod Valley is very excited. He’s missed the social interaction. “If it felt good to me I can’t imagine that the adolescent age how good that’s going to feel for them.” At the high school level it’s going to be a mix of in-person and virtual learning. Valley’s advice for parents is to remind their students that virtual classes are just as important as the time they spend inside the classroom.
