Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BFL) on Wednesday reported over four-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 979 crore for the fourth quarter ended in March 2021, driven by its insurance business. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 194 crore during the corresponding January-March period of 2019-20.

Chennai, April 17 : Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd was fined Rs.10 lakh by the insurance regulator for violation of the Insurance Act and its Motor Insurance Service Provider (MISP) guidelines.
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in its order has said Bajaj Allianz General had solicited 2,214 motor insurance policies between November 2017 - January 2018 involving a premium of about Rs 1.44 crore.
The regulator had said the company had sold the policies through 90 unregistered entities.
Exercising its powers under Section 105C of the Insurance Act the IRDAI levied a penalty of Rs 10 lakh on Bajaj Allianz General.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BFS) reported a 15 per cent increase in third quarter consolidated net profit at ₹1,290 crore against ₹1,126 crore in the year-ago period.
BFS is the holding company for the various financial services businesses under the Bajaj Group. BFS participates in the financing business through its 52.74 per cent holding in Bajaj Finance Ltd (BFL) and in the protection business through its 74 per cent holding in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd (BAGIC) and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd (BALIC).
BFL reported a 29 per cent decline in consolidated (including the financial results of subsidiaries Bajaj Housing Finance and Bajaj Financial Securities) net profit in the third quarter ended December 31, 2020, at ₹1,146 crore against ₹1,614 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Bajaj Finserv on Wednesday reported a 14.56 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,290 crore during October-December quarter of the ongoing financial year on improvement in business conditions and mobility amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
