LAHORE:Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that the government is making the all-out effort to improve healthcare services in Punjab. She stated this after inaugurating a bridge of a hostel of Fatima Jinnah Medical University here on Monday.
Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Amir Zaman Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Shirin Khawar, Medical Superintendant, Ganga Rama Hospital, Dr Ehtesham-ul-Haq, Project Director Ejaz Shaikh, Chief Warden Professor Dr Noreen Akmal, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said, “I greatly appreciate the Vice-Chancellor, his team and the faculty members for facilitating the students through this bridge. I have a strong personal association with the institution. Connecting the bridge between the hostel and college/hospital costs us around Rs19 million. LAHORE:Quaid-e-Azam was the perfect example of Iqbal s Mard-e-Momin and Rumi s Mard-e-Kamil. This was stated by Senator Waleed Iqbal while addressing an event on Quaid-e-Azam Day organised by Aiwan-e-Iqbal and Iqbal Academy Pakistan. Heated debate in PA over PAC chief appointment

LAHORE:Punjab Assembly witnessed exchange of heated arguments between law minister and opposition member over the appointment of Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) here on Tuesday.
Law Minister Raja Basharat and PML (N) MPA Sami Ullah Khan exchanged hot words when the issue was taken up by the opposition. The law minister on the occasion said the PTI government would not appoint any corrupt person as chairman Public Accounts Committee-1.
This is noteworthy that the opposition has been demanding appointment of Hamza Shahbaz as the Chairman of PAC-1. He said if the opposition leader in National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif, quitted as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the NA, why not Hamza Shahbaz could give up as chairman PAC 1 of the Punjab Assembly.
