Classes for grades nine to 12 across Pakistan will resume from Monday, April 19, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has announced.
An emergency meeting of all provincial ministers was called on Sunday. It was decided that the classes, even in districts affected by the novel coronavirus, will resume.
A special meeting of Health and Education Ministers of all provinces and AJK/GB was held today. KASUR: Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas during his visit here on Wednesday kept himself aloof from the ‘controversy’ of establishing a university at Kasur district headquarter instead of a rural area of Chunian tehsil.
Talking to the media, Mr. Raas said he would talk to the education authorities regarding establishing a university.
It merits mentioning that Population Minister retired Col Hashim Dogar had got Kasur university sanctioned from Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in Chunian tehsil. Buzdar was scheduled to announce it but could not do so as he cancelled his visit at the eleventh hour a few days back.
