LAHORE:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that Pakistan is making every possible effort in Afghanistan s peace process, and the Afghan government will also have to fulfil its responsibilities for peace.
As many as 220 million Pakistanis are with Kashmiris and Exploitation Day will be observed on August 5 to highlight 729-day lockdown in Indian-occupied Kashmir as violation of human rights, said the Punjab governor while talking to Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Saeed Al Hassan and party delegations at Governor’s House Lahore.
He said work was being done to promote religious harmony and eradicate sectarianism in Pakistan. He said those conspiring to destabilise the country would not be allowed to succeed. Govt ready for electoral reforms: Sarwar
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that Kashmiri people have supported the change and decided in favor of Prime Minister Imran Khan in Azad Kashmir elections.
He was talking to media and delegations from different districts in Lahore today.
Felicitating victorious PTI candidates of Azad Kashmir, he said PTI government will fulfil the promises made to the people of AJK.
Governor said that the government is ready for electoral reforms to make the electoral process completely transparent but the opposition is running away from electoral reforms.

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said work has been started on establishing 15 new universities in the province as the provincial government is pursuing a policy of setting up universities in every district.
He said this during a meeting with Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairman Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid who called on him at Governorâs House and presented him PHECâs annual report.
The governor was informed that the PHEC had launched a Rehnumai Markaz portal to provide timely information to the students and solve their problems. He also briefed the governor about various other projects of the Punjab Higher Education Commission.
