ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday said that everyone will see what will happen in the Senate polls.
The PML-N leader expressed the hope that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and joint candidate of opposition’s Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Yusuf Raza Gilani will win the Senate elections and it would be a no-confidence motion against the government. Shahid Khaqan said the PDM is fighting for an improvement in the system. He said the PML-N member and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has not been granted bail due to any deal.

ISLAMABAD: As the campaign for Senate elections in the country is ending with effect from the midnight today (Monday), the government and the opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) have mounted last ditch efforts to gain maximum support and both are confident about their chances of victory.
Both the sides on Sunday held some announced and secret meetings as part of the election campaign. The government has also devised strategy for the Senate polls and Prime Minister Imran Khan has also come into the field to support the PTI candidates. He will hold meetings with lawmakers of the ruling party at the Parliament today (Monday) to make sure that no one deviates from the party line while voting. The sources said the premier is expected to listen to the grievances of the party lawmakers and make assurance about resolving their problems.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Vice President and leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has said that jails are not new for us and we will not be intimidated by politics of revenge.
He said that Incompetent rulers have destroyed the country. The day is not far when those who talk about the state of Madinah will have to give answers.
Addressing the workers along with PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz after his release from jail, Hamza Shahbaz said that PTI was exposed in three years.

LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz was granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday, 20 months after the lawmaker was arrested in an assets-beyond-means and money-laundering case.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, directed Hamza to submit two surety bonds of Rs10 million each to avail relief while hearing a post-arrest petition filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader.
During the proceedings, National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) prosecutor Faisal Bukhari resumed his arguments and stated that Hamza Shahbaz possessed assets of “a few lakh rupees in 2003” whereas his assets reached “Rs537 million in 2018”, in addition to alleged illegal transactions of millions of rupees in his accounts.
