LAHORE/ GUJRAT: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz vice president Maryam Nawaz has for the first time named intelligence agencies working directly under the prime minister for their alleged role in ‘rigging’ and ‘kidnapping’ of presiding officers of 20 polling stations last week during the by-election in Daska.
“The agencies were being controlled from the Prime Minister House on polling day. We will expose the names of these officials if the government does not come clean and action is not taken against them,” said the PML-N leader in her interaction with journalists at her Jati Umra residence on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said the government was committed to utilising all available resources to improve the justice system in the country to provide relief and justice to people.
The prime minister also called for stern action against corrupt element by strengthening reward and punishment system.
The prime minister issued directives for removal of bottlenecks in the much ambitious Ravi Urban Development Project and asked for addressing problems in shifting Walton Airport, Lahore.
To provide relief to the common man, Mr Khan emphasised the need for implementation of administrative reforms within the prescribed period.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – With Senate elections just around the corner, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday telephoned Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and assigned him and important task with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
According to sources, during the telephonic conversation, matters pertaining to Senate elections came under discussion and assigned him a task together with the Punjab chief minister.
Sources further said that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Usman Bazdar will adopt a strategy in Punjab through mutual consultation.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman has said that the opposition parties alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was making all attempts to get an NRO [deal], but they would never get it as long as Prime Minister Imran Khan was in the office.
In a statement issued here, the asserted that the opposition’s campaign was directionless as protection of self-interests was their lone agenda. The people could not be deceived by unscrupulous elements as the economy had been put on the right track, he added.
