UDUPI: The district has reported a total of 42 Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, of which 35 are from Udupi and five cases from Kundapur. Expressing concern over the rising number of Covid-19 positive cases in the district during the past few days, deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha said that out of the total cases in the district, 27 are from an engineering college in Manipal. The college campus has been declared as a containment zone. The college has stated that the administration has decided to conduct all theory classes in online mode and defer the laboratory/ practical classes/ contact classes to a later date. Pending end semester examination for first semester BTech will be rescheduled to a later date.
