Den erhofften Einzug in das Luftpistolen-Finale hat Europameisterin Carina Wimmer verpasst: Wimmer landete mit 571 Ringen (95, 94, 93, 97, 97, 95) auf Platz 20, Sportpistolen-Spezialistin Monika Karsch wurde mit 568 Ringen (98, 95, 96, 91, 95, 93) 29. Wimmer hatte im Vorfeld gesagt, dass sicherlich 577 bzw. 578 Ringe für den Finaleingang notwendig wären. Damit lag die 25-Jährige exakt richtig. Der letzte und achte Finalplatz ging mit 577 weg â ein hoher Wert, den Wimmer im Training aber schon mehrfach geschossen hatte.
