Spain travel rules have become increasingly complicated throughout the course of the pandemic. Currently, Spain has banned UK arrivals over Covid concerns while Britain has blocked its citizens from non-essential travel. All in all, a pretty bleak outlook when its come to jetting off on holiday.

Ministers faced fury today as travellers are left in limbo with the new rules on coronavirus tests before arriving in the UK still not published - less than 48 hours to go until the system comes into force.
From 4am on Friday those arriving by boat, train or plane - including UK nationals - must have tested negative in the previous 72 hours.
This includes flights from the UK to the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands. If you were due to travel, or transit through, Spain, please contact your travel operator before departure.
Strict covid testing rules are also in place.

READ MORE From November 23, 2020, all passengers (excluding children under the age of six years old) travelling to Spanish airports and ports from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control) will be required to present a negative PCR swab test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival, in order to enter the country, the FCDO explained.
