Fake soldier meets his waterloo in Cross River

Twenty-eight year old Ogbonnia Paul Chukwudi met his waterloo as his was arrested by security operatives after successfully impersonating as a soldiers for four years in Cross River State.
The fake soldier from Ebonyi State has been impersonating for the past four years before his apprehension by NSCDC.
Vanguard learned that the suspect was arrested by officers of the NSCDC at Igoli, Ogoja and handed over to the 130 Battalion who after preliminary investigation handed the fake officer to the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army.
Speaking at the 13 Brigade Headquarters on Wednesday while handing over the fake soldier to the Police for prosecution, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General MA Abdullahi said the suspect has been impersonating for the past 4 years.

A 400 Level student of the Federal University, Dutse, FUD, Jigawa State, Abdullahi Bashir of Mathematics Department has committed suicide over alleged cheating by his lover.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Monday, around 4:00 pm at Yelwawa quarters in Dutse Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the deceased drank a poisonous substance popularly called ‘sniper’ after accusing his girlfriend, Rafiatu Muhammad, a 200 Level student for cheating on Valentine’s Day.
The University’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Yahaya Bello confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.
He said that the student was rushed to Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital, Dutse where he was pronounced dead.

Benin, Feb. 9, 2021 The Edo Government on Tuesday said it would plan operations with security agencies in the state to dislodge criminals causing crisis in the state from forests within the state.
Gov. Godwin Obaseki, said this at Odighi in Ovia North East Local Government Area, when he led heads of security agencies in the state on a fact finding mission over the incessant herders/farmers conflicts in the locality.
Obaseki said that the genuine herders who had lived peacefully within the locality were not the problem, but rather the criminal elements who had gone beyond the area allocated for grazing.
