Members to push private members’ bills for repeal of legislations
Congress MPs in Lok Sabha from Punjab, individually as well collectively, have decided to move private member’s bill to repeal the three contentious farm laws.
Speaking to reporters, Lok Sabha member and senior Congress leader Manish Tewari said the Repealing and Amendment Bill, 2021, will be moved in the Lower House by a group of party MPs from Punjab including himself, Ms. Preneet Kaur, Ms. Jasbir Singh Gill and Ms. Santokh Chaudhary.

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha witnessed yet another turbulent day as the Opposition parties cornered the Central government over the plight of farmers in Delhi . Earlier today, PM Narendra Modi spoke in the Rajya Sabha and bid a teary-eyed farewell to old friend and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke in the Rajya Sabha over the Uttarakhand glacier tragedy and said that the Centre and State agencies were monitoring the situation in the hill state.
While the past week was rocked by several adjournments and disruptions, Monday witnessed an elaborate reply by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Motion of Thanks on the President s Address in the Rajya Sabha.

The Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders will remain closed for traffic as farmers at the borders of the national capital continued their agitation against the Central farm laws. Tikri Border is close for traffic both carriage way, Jharoda Kalan border, Auchandi Border and Harewali close for both carriage way for traffic, the Delhi Traffic Police tweeted.
