The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) on Tuesday recommended that the Budget Session of Parliament be held from January 29 until April 8 with a recess in between.

Jammu Tawi, Jan 03: Jammu and Kashmir administration is likely to project over Rs 1.20 lakh crore budget for fiscal 2021-2022 with the main objective of economic revival and impetus to the developmental scenario.
Officials informed that as J&K is presently without an elected legislative assembly and government, the budget as per the provisions of J&K Re-organization Act 2019 will be presented by the Union Finance Ministry and passed by Parliament.
In 2020 also the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, presented J&K’s first budget as Union Territory in Parliament.

Union Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare (MoHFW) informed on Tuesday. A total of 34,477 patients have recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours. The total recovered cases have crossed 94 lakhs (94,22,636). The national Recovery Rate has further escalated to 95.12 per cent. India s recovery rate is one of the highest in the world for countries with a high caseload, the Ministry said in a release. A total of 74.24 per cent of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States/UTs. Maharashtra has reported the maximum number of single-day recoveries with 4,610 newly recovered cases. 4,481people recovered in Kerala followed by 2,980 in West Bengal, it stated.

The government has said there will be no Winter Session of Parliament this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Parliament will meet for the Budget Session in January next year. This was confirmed by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi in his reply to Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had earlier sent a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding that a short Winter Session of Parliament be convened to discuss the issues arising out of farmers protest over the three farm bills passed during the Monsoon Session in September.
