The military have been rehearsing all week for their pivotal role in the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.
The Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and the Army will be in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday, taking part in the procession and carrying out other duties including the playing of The Last Post.
Rehearsals have been taking place at the Army Training Centre Pirbright, near Woking, in Surrey, where hundreds of military personnel gathered following the announcement of Philip’s death.

THE FUNERAL
The funeral, which will be broadcast live on the Royal Family’s YouTube channel, will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
As planned, it will be a ceremonial royal funeral, rather than a state funeral, with most of the details in keeping with Prince Philip’s personal wishes.
However, it has had to be scaled back because of COVID-19 restrictions. There will be no public access, no public processions and the funeral will take place entirely within the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The service will begin with a national minute of silence. At the end of the service Philip will be interred in the chapel’s Royal Vault.

Buckingham Palace shared that Prince William and Harry will not walk side by side in the procession for Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh s funeral will take place on Saturday, 17 April at St George s Chapel.
The decision by the queen will likely fuel speculation that William and Harry have not mended their royal rift which many think has worsened since the Duke of Sussex s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Live coverage for the funeral service of Prince Philip will broadcast on BBC World News (DStv 400) from 13:30 on Saturday, as well as CNN (DStv 401) from 14:00.
