BEL AIR, MD A house fire in Harford County started in the chimney and caused more than $100,000 in damage Wednesday morning, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The fire broke out in the 2500 block of Cool Spring Road around 8:50 a.m., the fire marshal said.
Smoke was showing when crews arrived, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Within 20 minutes, firefighters led by the Level Volunteer Fire Company contained the blaze, Gardiner said. Crews from Harford County and York County in Pennsylvania responded.
