Two wise felines added even more expert opinion to our speakers’ comments, while an enthusiastic canine was keen to have its say on the future of financial planning from behind a locked door.
If extra cuteness was our biggest problem during this online event, though, I’d say we did alright.

Advisers are increasingly appointing discretionary fund managers to manage client investments on platform and, as a panel discussion at last month’s Money Marketing Interactive conference showed, the market turbulence this year has been a particular trigger for advisers to rethink their investment proposition.
In turn, that’s a good opportunity for advisers to check they’re comfortable with the legal and regulatory basis on which services are offered to clients.
Most on-platform model portfolio services are set up on an “agent as client” basis. This can work well, is straightforward to set up, and it puts the adviser firmly in the relationship chain. But the adviser must make sure that the client has given express authority for this and understands the implications of it –
