Thus, said Department of Labor and Employment-Bureau of Local Employment (DoLE-BLE) Director Dominique Rubia-Tutay in a virtual press briefing Monday, February 8, as she noted that there’s technically no rule forcing healthcare workers to submit themselves to inoculation once the anti-COVID vaccines are on hand.
During the press briefing, Tutay was told by a reporter about the alleged refusal of some healthcare workers to receive the vaccine due to personal reasons. A major part of the frontliners’ worries is that they might be forced to get the job once the country gets its supply of the antigen.
A Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) official explained just how daunting the country’s employment situation is, especially if government wants to keep the unemployment rate from reaching double digits again.

Labor group appeals for more wage subsidy for workers
