In Pakistan, women police officers are rare. Despite the 10 per cent set quota, women make up less than one per cent of the overall police force in the country; with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan trailing further behind with 0.72 and 0.31 per cent respectively.
Whereas, countries like Bangladesh and Nepal consist of six and eight per cent women in police forces respectively, Pakistani women police officers have the lowest representation in the force in the SAARC region.

The United States Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs INL is seeking applications from qualified applicants to implement a project titled “Advancing Gender Equality in Costa Rica Police Forces.”
The purpose of this project is to provide a coherent and standardized approach to gender equality by integration of best practices and standards into the police-specific policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures. The grantee will work in close collaboration with INL, the National Police Academy and the Gender Office of the Ministry of Public Security to promote the development of the capacity of all police forces in Costa Rica on gender issues (adapted to the specific national and local context and security needs), ultimately ensuring that the issue of gender equity is viewed as a mainstream issue and not a tra
The anticipated total federal funding amount is not to exceed $100,000 per award. The period of performance is one (1) year with an anticipated start date of April 2021.

This grant competition is designed to support Serbia’s civil society organizations as they promote the rule of law, access to justice, the fight against corruption, and legal education through the following priority thematic areas:
Improve the capacity of Serbian civil society to address gaps and inefficiencies in the justice and rule of law sector with a particular focus on corruption, civil society monitoring of the justice sector (both formal and informal), and public legal awareness.
