Rutherford-backed law will save lives, save money, and reduce crime and recidivism

Rutherford-backed law will save lives, save money, and reduce crime and recidivism Historic City News was informed today that President Trump has signed into law a bill introduced in the US House by Representative John Rutherford of Jacksonville.  This new law expands access to mental health services for individuals leaving the prison system, providing a “Continuity of Care” for those at risk of recidivism. Representative Rutherford, the former sheriff of Duval County, told reporters that he was proud to introduce the “Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Act of 2020”, co-introduced by Maryland Representative David Trone. “Throughout my time in law enforcement, I saw many individuals re-offend time and time again with the same offenses involving substance abuse and mental health issues,” said Rep. Rutherford. “Those exiting the prison system face numerous challenges as they go back to their communities, often with little or no support.”

The Media Is Lying: Listen To The Science

Share and speak up for justice, law & order. Politicians and corporate media have been demanding that we “listen to the science.” It started as a catch-phrase about the COVID-19 pandemic. But like most other trendy political phrases, it’s now being used in other contexts. However, aside from assuming that science is foolproof, there’s plenty of hypocrisy involved in this political battle cry. Although perhaps the most hypocritical thing is that politicians and the media will demand that we “listen to the science” when it fits their narratives yet they avoid it like the plague whenever it will prove them wrong. And when it comes to crime and law enforcement, it seems politicians and corporate media are doing everything they can to avoid “science” and scientific evidence.
