LAMOILLE- Two people are dead after a two vehicle crash in Bureau County Saturday. According to authorities around 7 AM LaMoille Fire and EMS were called to US Route 34 west of the community for the crash that killed both drivers. The Bureau County Sheriff’s Office stated that a 48-year-old Princeton man and a 66-year-old Sublette man were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are being withheld pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police, Bureau County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau County Coroner.

LADD – A man was found deceased after being reported missing on Thursday in Ladd. According to the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, around 3:00 AM they were called to the community to search for a missing person. Later in the morning, authorities say he was found deceased between two homes on the same street as his residence. The 82-year-olds identity has not been released and the death is still under investigation by the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau County Coroner, and the Ladd Police Department.

WYANET – A multi-agency search Monday night in Bureau County located a 64-year old woman who was reported missing earlier in the day. According to authorities, the woman’s husband stated that she had a medical condition and had apparently left the house at some point and was nowhere to be found. Around 6 PM Wyanet Fire and Rescue, Bureau County EMA, Christian Aide Ministries Search and Rescue, Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, Salvation Army and a helicopter owned by Jason Marquis conducted a search of the area. Just before midnight she was located at the bottom of a 70 foot ravine about a half mile from her home. She was taken via Life Flight to a Peoria Hospital for her injuries. Wyanet Police Chief Todd Marquez noted that the family is very appreciative and thankful for the volunteers and the community who came out to bring their loved one home.
