The public in Staffordshire are being warned to stay alert after a spate of catalytic converter thefts across the county in just one day.
Five incidents, including two in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle, were reported to police on Thursday, March 5.

Pet owners are being warned to be on their guard after a dog nap gang reportedly stole an elderly woman s border terriers.
The victim was said to have been walking in Normacot when two men jumped out of a van and snatched her puppy and an older dog earlier today (March 6).
