Police are stepping up patrols at a popular North Staffordshire beauty to crack down on off-road vehicles damaging the land.
Concerns have been raised during lockdown three about damage at Marshes Hill Common in Brown Edge, with several reports of quad bikes and other off-road vehicles churning up parts of the nature reserve.

People caught street drinking in parts of the Moorlands could be slapped with £100 on-the-spot fines.
The public space protection orders (PSPO) would mean anyone caught drinking alcohol on the streets would face a fixed penalty notice. If they refused to pay, they would be taken to court.
