Bobbie Dean Griffin, 82, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed from this life to the presence of Christ on March 2, 2021 surrounded by family and Pastor Andy Rodgers literally praying him into his heavenly home. A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 13 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Breckenridge. Officiating to include FBC Breckenridge Pastor Andy Rodgers and Dr. Genoa Goad. A visitation will follow in the FBC Breckenridge Family Life Center. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Bob, the youngest of seven siblings, was born on April 3, 1938 in Dolores, Colo. to Fred & Stella Griffin. The family moved from Colorado to the Oklahoma panhandle area of Texas County in 1940, ultimately landing in Hooker, Okla. until his graduation in 1956. The Higher Learning Commission Approves Panhandle State’s Reaffirmation of Accreditation Panhandle State Communications on 02/03/2021
Oklahoma Panhandle State University has been notified that the Higher Learning Commission has approved OPSU’s Reaffirmation of Accreditation for the next ten years on the Open Pathway for Accreditation. The Higher Learning Commission is one of six regional accreditors of degree-granting institutions, covering 19 states.
One of three options to maintain accreditation, the Open Pathway, allows institutions to design and implement Quality Initiatives to develop strategies and processes for continued further improvement.
OPSU’s comprehensive evaluation and self-study was completed in October, when peer evaluators from across the country representing HLC evaluated the university and affirmed that OPSU had met HLC’s criteria for accreditation.
