NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall was so unwell with the Delta strain of COVID-19 that he could barely sit up in bed but the 35-year-old insists there was one saving grace: he did not infect anyone else.
Mr Marshall contracted the virus after having dinner with three MPs at Christo’s Pizzeria in Paddington on June 21, but was in isolation within 24 hours, before he was infectious and before he returned a positive test.

Ban on GM crops no more
Today marks an historic new opportunity for the state’s farmers to increase their competitiveness and productivity, as the NSW Government lifts its ban on the use of Genetically Modified (GM) crops.
Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall announced the lapse of the 18-year moratorium today and said it would not be renewed, opening the door for the state’s primary industries sector to embrace new GM technologies.
“By lifting the ban we hope to unlock the potential of GM crops for our state’s growers, delivering better yields with less inputs such as pesticides, and growing more nutritious produce,” Mr Marshall said.

THE NSW Council of Freshwater Anglers and the Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW co-signed letters to the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and to Matt Kean, Minister for Energy and Environment and Adam Marshall, Minister for Agriculture and Western Sydney, raising concerns about Minister Marshall s application to the APVMA to use the poison bromadiolone to control the mouse plague in NSW. The main concern was that there have been reports that mice affected by poison are being consumed by native fish.
