Roku transforms Its most Important product: its own streaming channel

The Office and Parks and Recreation won t show up on The Roku Channel, users can watch select episodes on Peacock without a subscription. Comcast hopes offering a free sample will convince more users to subscribe. There is a cost, but it s worth it Even if Roku is getting a lot of content as part of its distribution agreements, it s likely giving up something in order to secure those rights. It may forego a greater share of subscription revenue or ad inventory. But that s a small price to pay for Roku. Content for The Roku Channel is extremely valuable. The year in Minnesota music: best albums and most trying moments

One of the happiest moments I ve witnessed at First Avenue occurred this past January. What a deceptive start to the year that was. It arrived at the end of First Ave s annual Best New Bands showcase, which proved unusually solid and entertaining start to finish this time around from the smooth electro-emoting of FruitPunchLoverBoy to the reverberating psyche-rock of Muun Bato to the anti-hipster Southern rock of the Mae Simpson Band.

What s in the freezer? Stealthy fox pounces head-first into deep snow to catch a mouse in its jaws

This is the amazing moment a red fox was captured diving head-first into deep snow to catch a mouse. Wildlife footage shows the canine predator on the prowl with its ears alert as it tracks the sounds of the rodent below the snow cover.  The beautifully-shot video, which is being widely shared online, was filmed by a passing skier, Adam Levy, in Breckenridge, Colorado. It shows the fox listening intently, cocking its head from side to side as it calculates the rodent s movements below the surface.  The snow-covered ground masks the sight of its prey but the fox can hear the rustle of a mouse.
