DSWD, LGUs provide more than P3 5-M relief aid to Bising -affected families – Manila Bulletin

dswd4 The DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) reported that as of 6 p.m., April 25, more than P3.55-million aid has been extended to the affected families in Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and Caraga. The DROMIC said the number of affected families increased to 99,914 or 408,095 persons in 1,159 barangays from the four affected regions. The report also showed that all the 24,519 families or 93,827 persons who chose to stay with their relatives and/or friends have already returned home. The DSWD reported over the weekend that all the 14,951 families or 58,431 persons who took temporary shelter in 737 evacuation centers have returned home.

The DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) reported that as of 6 p.m., April 24, 14,951 families or 58,431 persons in the 737 evacuation centers “have now returned home.” dswd4 The report was issued after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Bising has weakened into a tropical storm on Saturday, April 24. The DROMIC noted that the number of affected families had reached 98,546 or 401,867 persons in 1,134 barangays from affected regions– Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

Published April 23, 2021, 8:41 PM The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the local government units (LGUs) have so far provided relief assistance amounting to more than P1.72 million to the families affected by Typhoon “Bising” in the country’s four regions. The DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) reported that as of 6 p.m., April 23, the relief response aid disbursed to the affected families totals P1,723,751.20. The DROMIC noted the increasing number of families affected by Bising in Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and Caraga. Based on its report, Bising had affected 85,570 families or 344,958 persons in 1,099 barangays.

Bising affects over 59K families — DSWD – Manila Bulletin

Published April 21, 2021, 10:57 AM The number of affected families by Typhoon “Bising” in Bicol, Eastern Visayas and Caraga has increased to over 59,000 or almost 230,000 persons, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Wednesday, April 21.
