Anti-LGBT+ Virginia state senator Amanda Chase has refused to back down after addressing the mob that assaulted democracy at the US Capitol.
Chase addressed the crowd of Trump extremists and violent white supremacist insurrectionists, many armed with bats, shields and chemical sprays, at the Wednesday (6 January) rally that later exploded into a confused and frenzied breaching of the Capitol.
Four rioters and a US Capitol Police officer died in the ensuing chaos with at least 56 DC Metropolitan Police officers injured, CNN reported, as insurrectionists attempted a coup by storming the seat of US power to falsely declare Donald Trump the winner of the presidential election.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has been fined $37,000 for improperly receiving funds.
ATLANTA - In 2017 we reported then city councilwoman Keisha Lance Bottoms charged taxpayers $40,000 for her end of the year city council district flyer. But, she mailed it outside her district and all across the city. It included 80 pictures of her in action.
Our report lead to a 2018 campaign finance complaint when Keisha Lance Bottoms ran for Mayor. Log Cabin Republicans wanted Bottoms investigated for the flyer and other campaign disclosure issues.
While Bottoms began her term as Mayor in January 2018 the case dragged on for some three years when Bottoms obtained a new lawyer.

The Log Cabin Republicans, the largest LGBT+ Republican group in the United States, has said nothing about the US Capitol riots that broke out on Wednesday (7 January) – and the silence is deafening.
The world watched in horror on Wednesday when a violent pro-Trump mob descended on the Capitol, forcing lawmakers to be evacuated. Four people died, one of whom was shot by police.
The Capitol riots have left people across the United States stunned, with even some Republicans now calling Trump out and consigning his lies about election fraud to the dustbin of history – but one group has been notably silent.
