MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. About 60 journalists were detained during Sunday’s unauthorized rallies in Russia, many of them have been released, Russia’s Journalists Union said. As of 19:00 Moscow time, the number of detained and injured journalists neared 60, it said. The Russian Journalists Union will make conclusions on the results of monitoring and will turn to law enforcement agencies over violations of the journalists’ rights, if necessary.
Reports about detention of journalists came from Yakutsk, Irkutsk, Magnitogorsk, Tver, Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Rostov, Samara, Ulan-Ude, Novokuznetsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Syktyvkar, Stavropol, Murmansk, Kaluga, Izhevsk.
