Cyberpunk dystopias have been the backdrop of all kinds of media for years, but Scarlet Nexus, the upcoming action RPG from Bandai Namco Studios, is hoping to create a brain punk future that RPG and anime fans alike can fall in love with. But building the futuristic world of Scarlet Nexus is an enormous undertaking, but one that the brains at Bandai Namco have dealt with before.
We got a chance to pick at the minds of Game Producer Keita Iizuka and Game Director Kenji Anabuki behind the upcoming RPG and learned a little more about how their past experiences helped inform Scarlet Nexus gameplay,

Like many gamers in their 30 s, I was addicted to Pokémon when it first crashed onto our shores. I couldn t get enough of the franchise. From the classic original entry in the series, to the collectible card game, I was hooked. One of the first big spin-offs of the series, and therefore, another title I invested many hours into, was Pokémon Snap. The N64 release opened up the world of the series in a brand-new way by letting you take photos of wild Pokémon in a variety of settings. Despite the title s popularity, though, a direct follow-up surprisingly never arrived. That is until now, with New Pokémon Snap.
