Man with the vaccine boxes on bicycle and dry run being conducted
VARANASI: A major lapse was exposed during the dry run of Covid-19 vaccination in Varanasi on Tuesday when an employee reached Government Women Hospital, one of the six designated centres, carrying vaccine boxes on a bicycle.
Taking serious note of the incident, chief medical officer Dr V B Singh sought an explanation from the cold chain handler for the lapse even though arrangements of vaccine storage had already been made at GWH.
The dry run of Covid-19 vaccination at GWH had not begun when a man reached there with four cold-chain boxes on a bicycle, but the security personnel stopped him from entering the hospital.
