DeSantis ordered flags to be flown at half staff at the Palm Beach County Courthouse in West Palm Beach, Delray Beach City Hall and the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee from sunrise to sunset on Friday. Mike Stocker, South Florida Sun-Sentinel Former Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie is in court Thursday to plead guilty in a public corruption case that halted her political career. She has been facing a total of seven criminal charges altogether punishable by up to 23 years in prison. But the plea deal is for 12 months of probation for pleading guilty to two misdemeanors: misuse of public office, and failure to disclose a voting conflict. Prosecutors dropped all three felony counts against her.
