Mike Stocker, South Florida Sun-Sentinel Former Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie is in court Thursday to plead guilty in a public corruption case that halted her political career. She has been facing a total of seven criminal charges altogether punishable by up to 23 years in prison. But the plea deal is for 12 months of probation for pleading guilty to two misdemeanors: misuse of public office, and failure to disclose a voting conflict. Prosecutors dropped all three felony counts against her.
