Health officials in Palm Beach County have a lot more COVID vaccine than they do takers for the shots.
Health Director Dr. Alina Alonso with the Florida Dept. of Health says part of the reason is vaccine hesitancy, and she cites falsehoods about the vaccine for some of that, including a belief by some women that it could make them infertile. That is one of those myths that has occurred on the Internet. There is absolutely no evidence of any infertility due to the vaccine.
Alonso says education is needed to get people to understand that the vaccine is safe.

Just days after the police chief of the Palm Beach County School District announced his resignation, a new chief has been chosen.
Former Boca Raton Police Chief Dan Alexander will be taking over for Frank Kitzerow on April 30.
He is currently Deputy Chief of School Police. Superintendent Donald Fennoy says that during Alexander s time with the agency, he witnessed the deputy chief s inclusive and progressive leadership style.
Alexander spent more than 13 years as Boca s chief and served as the police chief in Cape Coral.
Kitzerow, the former Jupiter Police Chief, joined the school district police department in July of 2018, just months after the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. He saw the milestone of placing at least one officer at each of the 179 district-operated schools.
