Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner said county and city officials are working to gather information about building recertification following the deadly collapse of a building in Surfside, but said it will be several weeks before commissioners discuss it. “We don’t want to react too quickly, but we want to make sure we react in a way that is effective and forceful to protect the lives and safety of our residents,” Kerner said.
