At about 1 a.m., PBSO deputies responded to the 100 block of North E Street, just north of Lucerne Avenue, to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
The men were taken to a hospital, where one died and the other remained in critical condition Monday afternoon. Authorities did not release the names or ages of the men.
As of Monday afternoon, there were no suspects or motives known in the shooting, according to PBSO.
The homicide is at least the 79th in Palm Beach County this year, according to a Palm Beach Post online database. The unidentified man s death is one of at least four homicides in Lake Worth Beach this year, records show.
