The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has cleared the Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office and the state attorney s office of any wrongdoing in connection to the work release privileges and lack of criminal prosecution related to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
FDLE investigators found no evidence that then state attorney Barry Krischer committed any crimes, accepted any bribes or gifts, or did anything improper in their handling of the case.
The investigation was ordered by the governor at the request of Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.
The disgraced money manager spent 13 months in the Palm Beach County stockade as part of a so-called sweetheart plea deal. While in custody, Epstein was allowed to leave jail seven days a week, and go to his Palm Beach mansion for hours at a time.

ordered the FDLE in August 2019to investigate irregularities surrounding the prior state investigation and the ultimate plea agreement for Epstein in 2008.
The FDLE investigation focused on the plea deal reached with Epstein by prosecutors in the State Attorney s Office of the 15th Judicial Circuit and Epstein s incarceration and work-release program, which was overseen by the Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office.
