Suit claims districts took years to report bus driver s sexual abuse

have sued  the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs Unified School Districts, alleging that they failed for years to report a bus driver s sexual abuse to police. The two, who were students in CVUSD and are now adults, filed the suit against the districts and the bus driver, Jose Luis Moncada, of Desert Hot Springs, earlier this month in Riverside County Superior Court. Moncada, 64, was arrested last year and charged with eight counts of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 years old, along with sentence-enhancing allegations of multiple victims. The crimes occurred in 2010, according to authorities, who said there were three victims.
