Michael Eder, 47, has taken a wide array of classes over the past year: mass media, cultural anthropology, English, public speaking.  But there s an added component to Eder s curriculum not found in most college courses: Native American voices and content.  Eder, a member of the Crow Tribe in Montana, is enrolled at California Indian Nations College, a two-year community college in Palm Desert. Many of the students sitting alongside Eder in class, or now occupying the same Zoom screen, are Native American.
