Cynthia Perry, who was a senior manager in the design research and business technology innovation division, said in a resignation letter sent to company leadership on February 4 and posted to LinkedIn on Friday that the company s motto of Equality for All didn t reflect the reality of working at the $219 billion cloud-software giant, particularly for Black employees.

Associated Press But about six months later, many Black employees say there hasn t been enough change.  Diversity and inclusion consultants share ways executives can usher in real change.  American companies promised change to take diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) seriously in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.  But according to a recent LinkedIn survey of Black professionals, there hasn t been tangible change in their workspaces … at least not yet.  While 78% of Black professionals surveyed believe their senior leaders value DEI, some 40% say this support is more talk than action, and think their companies have not made any material changes to policies or culture.

The move attracted much fanfare, but it turns out that Harvard isn’t the only T-14 law school to announce a diversity first for its incoming editorial board. As it turns out, Stanford Law School’s Law Review recently elected its first Iranian-American, Muslim president. Daniel Khalessi ’22 was elected in November 2020, and assumed the role last month. The Astia fund has been led by an investment from Mastercard, with additional investors including Priya Mathur, past president of the board of CalPERS; Jim O Neill, former chief economist and former chairman of asset management at Goldman Sachs, Farvatn Venture, Portola Creek Capital and Tides Foundation; and several members of Toniic, a global network of impact investors.
