Google on Wednesday honored one of India s greatest scientists, who is also remembered as Satellite Man , with a doodle.
Google celebrated the 89th birth anniversary of professor and scientist Udupi Ramachandra Rao, who was an Indian space scientist and former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
Rao was born in a remote village of Karnataka in 1932. He received his primary education at Adamaru and went on to complete his B.SC. in Govert Arts and Science College, Anantpur. For his higher studies, he went to Banaras Hindu University and completed his M.Sc. Rao did his Ph.D. at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad under the guidance of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.
