On April 15, 2021, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Afghan Taliban organization) threatened America that its jihadi fighters will take every necessary countermeasure after the U.S. President Joe Biden announced that American troops will not be withdrawn by May 1, as is required under the Doha agreement signed between the U.S. and the Taliban organization on February 29, 2020.
President Biden s statement notes that the U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan starting May 1, with the process being completed by September 11, 2021.
In a statement published on its official website, the Islamic Emirate said that the U.S. decision [to stay beyond May 1] is a clear violation of the Doha Agreement and non-compliance with its commitments.
