SSO Logistics has helped Hamma gym A FAMILY-RUN Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) gym which reopened after the lengthy winter lockdown has been helped to a fighting start. Independent family-run MMA gym, HAMMA, based on North Road has reopened again this month after the long closure. Husband and wife Sean and Caroline Martin, who run the premises were delighted after being given support by a fellow family business in the town. Logistics and warehousing firm SSO Logistics Ltd, based at Fishwicks Industrial Estate on Baxters Lane, specialise in the storage and distribution of food products throughout the UK and Europe. They have recently started a freight forwarding division arranging worldwide imports and exports.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (source provided) TBHQ is a preservative used to extend the lives of popular foods such as Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats and Cheez-Its. A recent study from the Environmental Working Group says this preservative could harm the body’s immune system. Senator Gillibrand has asked Susan Mayne, the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition director, to reassess the food chemicals being put into food and how they can affect the body. She worries for the long-term effects these chemicals could have on generations of children who ate them.
