Brianna and Aaron Ringle have a difficult choice to make on behalf of their son, who was recently diagnosed with a rare disease that can be triggered by a high fever.
Elan, 4, has PCDH19 Epilepsy, a rare syndrome that is especially uncommon in males. Brianna Ringle said a high fever could cause a seizure.
Although coronavirus vaccines are not available for children yet, the decision on whether to eventually get Elan vaccinated is weighing on the Ringles.
